Designing the brochure for the new shoe exhibit at the Museum of Everyday Things was a truly enjoyable experience. This project not only allowed for a great deal of creative control but also presented a unique challenge as it was my first time designing a brochure focused on a single object.

To kick off the project, I began by capturing images of the main shoe featured in the exhibit—a colored block Vans shoe. Drawing inspiration from the shoe's association with skater culture and grunge aesthetics, I decided to incorporate these elements into the brochure's design.

I utilized various grunge elements, such as an anaglyph effect and a scrapbooking paper effect, to create a visually engaging and cohesive design throughout the brochure. One of the highlights of the project was designing the cover, where I had the opportunity to depict shoes hanging on a power line, adding a touch of urban and edgy flair. The addition of 3D typography further enhanced the overall impact of the cover design, tying the concept together beautifully.

Overall, this project was not only a fun and creative endeavor but also a valuable learning experience. It challenged me to think outside the box and explore new design techniques, resulting in a brochure that effectively captures the essence of the shoe exhibit.
